Coming Home

On my way home from work tonight I’ll be stopping to pick up Sasha from the vets. We left her there two weeks ago, after… well, you know, and she should have been returned today from the Crematorium. Some people think it’s odd to have her cremated, but I don’t see why we shouldn’t treat our pets as if they were members of our own family. They are just that, after all.

When she gets home, she’ll sit on the shelf next to Fergie, my cat that died just over three years ago. They can look after each other.

We got Sasha all those years ago from the Cats Protection League (or just Cats Protection as they’re now known), so I have donated her un-eaten food and a few other supplies to the local shelter. I’ve also started a donation. It’s only a few pounds each month, but it will hopefully help a needy cat. And maybe some time in the future I can help to home one myself. I would encourage you to do the same.
