So, following the support that people gave to raww.orgy earlier in the year (it was a success, I think), I’m trying to support the other demoparties. I’ve done fairly badly so far… my IVP demo entry didn’t reach the party in time, and I didn’t manage to complete anything for DiHalt (sorry). But I’ve been working on a 512b Intro for the upcoming Chaos Constructions. It’s nothing special and considering the stuff that people came up with in 256b at my party, I don’t think it’ll win. But I’ll happily be proven wrong.
The issue I have at the moment is that the code is written but the FX isn’t. That’s to say the structure of the code is complete and working, but it doesn’t actually do anything. I need to put some work into making stuff shift around the screen, which I guess is the whole point. If I can’t do that then it’s wasted time. But I have nearly 128b still to play with so I’m sure I can make something happen.
Incidentally I won’t be going to the party – it’s too close to my own holiday, and in completely the opposite direction. So I may be asking for someone to present the intro on my behalf – some parties require attendance for participants, which I can understand. I’ll post a request on raww.org if I need it.
Now… what to do with those hundred-or-so bytes?
