I sent off my intro to the organisers of CC6 – I’ve not heard back from them whether they have it yet, but I’ll upload it to their FTP and send it on to Vega soon, who has kindly offered to present it at the party for me.
So now I’m on to my next project. I guess the next party after CC6 is Sundown, which I should be going to. I have an idea for a demo… nothing special, it’s more of a “tribute” than anything else. I have some ideas for effects and they’re not, in theory, too tricky to code. Of course it kind of relies on me getting out of the “size-coding” mindset, which is a different way of working than just coding for speed. I actually probably won’t be optimising for either – get something onscreen and move on. That’s the plan.
Of course I will be needing music for the demo – I have a specific tune in mind, much as I hate cover versions, but for this I think it’s justified. Of course the tune I want to convert has to be “a secret” until the demo is done. I have my reasons. But it’s something for you all to look forward to.
Now – who can I persuade to write some music for me?

Would be glad to help out with some music. Chuck me an email with the tune you want covered, and I’ll see what I can do.
I have been working on some music over the heatwave and still have that urge to continue whilst DivIDE orders rack up (25 as I type this)…
Would also be kewl to know what effects, etc. you have planned.
Cheers,

Cool, I’ll drop you an email later today.
Good news on the DivIDE pre-orders too – definately it’s a popular interface.
