RC55 has announced this year’s Sundown, the “other” UK demoparty, a multi-platform scene event featuring “old-school” platforms such as the ZX amongst the other, more “standard” competitions. Again the event takes place in Budleigh Salterton on the south coast, about an hours drive from my home.
I’ve already mentioned this on raww.org, so why mention it on my blog too? Because the party is pencilled in for September 7th to 9th. I get married on the 1st of September this year, so I’ll be away until probably the Saturday of the party – we’re having a short break as a honeymoon rather than some month-long world-spanning affair. So I have a choice… miss the party completely and hope everyone has a rubbish time because I’m not there… or try to persuade Mrs Cooper-to-be that in fact Budleigh Salterton is a “really nice place at this time of year, and would make a great end to our honeymoon if we stopped by on the Saturday on our way home, even tho’ it’s in the wrong direction, and oh look there’s Gasman and evilpaul, what are they doing here?”
Hmm. Maybe I should take bets on the chances of me turning up at the party.
